The purpose of this paper is to describe the process of quality analysis carried out at the time of the establishment of the Presidio di Qualità (PARQ), a structure for internal quality control (required by Italian law), created at the University of Valle d'Aosta in April 2008 and chaired by a faculty member appointed by the Academic Senate. The paper shows how the Presidium has developed a coherent plan for the evaluation of teaching and student services at the University of Valle d'Aosta, and a process of meta-evaluation of the annual revision of the rules management and promotion of activities and tools evaluation.
