Th is paper focuses on the development of individual monumental tombs in Campania in the 1st century B.C.; we analyze some arch itectural elements - particularly from Ager Campanus - that can be attributed to aedicula monuments or monopteroi: coffered ceiling s, friezes with scrollwork decoration and putto-and-garland reliefs. In th is perspective we discuss the model of the relationships between centre and periphery.

Abstract
