The finiteness of observational and computational precision suggests that not only the initial condition (as usually assumed) but also the evolution law of dynamical systems is affected by unavoidable uncertainties. The consequences are explored by suitably generalizing the concept of the Lyapunov exponent. Abstract
The finiteness of observational and computational precision suggests that not only the initial condition (as usually assumed) but also the evolution law of dynamical systems is affected by unavoidable uncertainties. The consequences are explored by suitably generalizing the concept of the Lyapunov exponent. The relation between the results obtained and the shadowing problem is discussed as well as some implications concerning the Kolmogorov entropy.File in questo prodotto:
