The Authors describe a case of gangrenous mastitis by Sthaphylococcus aureus developed 35 days after parturition in a primipare bitch. A surgical excision of the affected mammary glands was realized because of the bad generai conditions. Moreover gross and histopathological findings are reported and discussed.
