TILES PRODUCTION IN MESSINA AREA BETWEEN MATERIAL CULTURE AND INDUSTRIAL ARCHAEOLOGY. INVESTIGATIONS AND NOTATIONS FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE FURNACES IN TONO VALLEY In Messina territory are localized some firms (along with their factories) strictly linked to the resources of the area where they are located in. There are several furnaces with intermittent fire for cooking tiles around which there were human activities of ethnoantropological interest. To fix an absolute dating of the different constructions investigated, the dimensions of the bricks used to built these furnaces are compared with those found in the cemeteries and villages of the surrounding area.
