From the half 7th century A.D. the raids committed by mussulmans in eastern Sicily had as consequence the reorganization of defensive high-medieval system. Crossing mussulman contemporary to the conquestor of IX-X century A.D. source with the ancient network of roads and with architectonic survivals it is possible to draw expressive hints of meditation. In this particular case between the two fortresses of Saponara and Fiumedinisi, that garrisson roads of access to the hinterland are noticeable some analogies both according to morphological and building of manifactured article and pertinent to localization in close visive connection with their own principal fortress of Rametta and Mîqus`. Some metrical plottings and stratigrafical notations have been developed and allow to explain, in part, the historical path of manifactured article completing data that emerge from written documentation. In the case of mount Belvedere’s castle is published a relief, made in 1992, before that an intervention would irrimediably reduce the possibility to notice indications from tracks on wall buildings. The presence of a cistern with an pointed-arch barrel-vault, similar to the ones in Saponara’s castle stimulates some chrono-typological meditations. Only in the case of bricks used to build the centre of the castle of Saponara’s cistern has been possible to find some mensio-chronological assonances with norman period buildings. Stratigraphical reading allows to notice the last life period of this building like the one that still stand from a century and that is going to culminate into the definitive disappening of important evidences of human making.
