Abstract
Can the advent of the neurosciences modify the deontology of the physician, and if it can, how? More specifically, can a code dictating how physicians must behave still be considered desirable in the era of neuroscientific discovery? This issue, while not being a strictly scientific one is one that provides us with a ssnapshot of a philosopher in action in today's world dense with neuroscientific information, but somewhat lacking in signposts informing the common man onhow he is to "metabolize" all of its implications. The underlyng exhortation is an invitation to the physician to continue to hold in just regard the results of modern day science, without letting himself be dominated by them to the point of forgetting the delicate and complex nature of his function.Pubblicazioni consigliate
