Differenza nel grado di dipendenza da nicotina in soggetti assuntoridi cannabis e poliassuntori

An epidemiological research was carried out within the Public Drug Addiction Service (Ser.T.) of the District of Ribera - Local Health Unit (USL) n°1, Agrigento (Italy), in collaboration with the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine and Pharmacology, Section of Pharmacology, School of Medicine, University of Messina. The study aimed to evidence possible differences and/or correlations in the degree of nicotine dependence in subjects with tobacco and cannabis use and subjects with tobacco and polidrug use. A further aim of the study was to investigate the possible co-existence into the whole sample of depression symptoms and their distribution between the two groups. The sample was composed by 64 drug users, divided by typology, variety, quantity of substances used, into two sub-groups: • Group A: 24 tobacco and cannabis users • Group B: 40 tobacco and polidrug users. All subjects were administered the following tests: Fargestrom test, Severity Dependence Scale (SDS) and Hamilton-D Scale.
