An improved HPLC method was developed for the separation and quantification of 2,4-dinitrotoluene and its reduction products. Gradient elution, with a water-acetonitrile mobile phase, was selected for the separation of ail components including the 2,4-nitrohydroxyaminotoluene isomers.
