A potentiometric study on ligand-ligand interactions in aqueous solution, is reported. The formation and stability of pyridine- sulphate, oxalate and hexacyanoferrate(ll) complexes has been investigated in the ionic strength range 0 less than or equal to 1 less than or equal to 0.4 mol dm(-3) and at T = 25 degrees C. The results obtained showed that the complexing ability of protonated pyridine towards polyanions is similar to that of aliphatic amines and depends mainly on the charges involved in the formation reaction.
