A general class of hyperbolic reaction-diffusion models is considered and both smooth and discontinuous travelling wave solutions are investigated. Through numerical integration some plots concerning the behavior of the travelling wave solutions analyzed are shown. Furthermore, within the framework of the validation of the proposed model, the numerical solutions of the full system is carried on.
