Legislative Decree no. 157 of 25 July 2007 establishes the penalties of an administrative nature for violations of the previsions of Regulation (CE) 1/2005 on the protection of animals during transport. The above decree contains instruments capable of ensuring, within our state, the application of Community law. The Authors carry out an analysis of the penalties, underlining the necessity that the transport ismonitored in all its stages to ensure theminimum protection of animals and promote not only the animal welfare, but also the products derived from them.
