Let R be a prime ring of characteristic different from 2, F and G non-zero generalized derivations of R, f(R) the set of all evaluations of a polynomial f(x_i) in R. In this paper we give a complete description of all possible cases when the composition (FG) acts as a generalized derivation on f(R).
