Stomatopapillomatosis is the most known epithelial neoplasm in fish. Although such papilloma has been described in eels in almost all European countries, it is considered extremely rare in the Mediterranean basin. This study represents the first report of this tumour in Italy, the first immunohistochemical characterization, the first aempt of radiographic exam, surgical therapy and demonstration of post-surgical recidiva.

Abstract

Stomatopapillomatosis is the most known epithelial neoplasm in fish.
