We undertake the study of partial semi-hypergroups, a generalization of a concept introduced by P. Corsini. Moreover, we introduce x_r-dependent and x-dependent hypergroupoids and study them in connection with associativity. Lastly, we consider the partial hypergroupoids of class one, that is, those with a unique non-empty hyperproduct a∘b , and in the finite case determine their number up to isomorphism.
