The symmetric two component system of charged hard spheres is studied in the molten salt regime on the basis of a modified hypernetted chain (MHNC) equation. The two bridge functions E++(r) and E+-(r) are modeled in terms of the bridge function of hard spheres with two different diameters S++ and S+-, respectively. Unequal values for S++ and S+- lead to a significant improvement for thermodynamic and structural quantities with respect to HNC and RHNC results. However the radial distribution function for like charges is still not quantitatively correct.

Abstract
The symmetric two component system of charged hard spheres is studied in the molten salt regime on the basis of a modified hypernetted chain (MHNC) equation. The two bridge functions E++(r) and E+-(r) are modeled in terms of the bridge function of hard spheres with two different diameters S++ and S+-, respectively. Unequal values for S++ and S+- lead to a significant improvement for thermodynamic and structural quantities with respect to HNC and RHNC results. However the radial distribution function for like charges is still not quantitatively correct.File in questo prodotto:
