Abstract

The protective effect of different preparations of young shoots, leaves and flowers og Crataegus oxyacantha L. (Rosaceae), against arrhythmias induced by aconitine, calcium chloride and chloroform-adrenaline has been studied on rat isolated heart, perfused by Langerdoff. All these preparations showed a protective action in the assayed experimental models of arrhythmias, but the effect of shoots glycero-alcoholic macerate was stronger. Moreover, this preparation showed to be very active in a particular model of arrhythmias, namely toward hyperkinetic ventricular arrhythmias induced by reperfusion
