Abstract
The stability constants of M 2+-EDTA (M 2+ = Ca 2+ or Mg 2+) have been determined pH-metrically in aqueous solution. The study has been performed over a wide range of ionic strength (0.17-0.77 mole dm -3) and temperature (10-45°C). Semiempirical equations have been obtained for the ionic strength dependence of formation constants. The thermodynamic parameters for the major species have been obtained from the temperature dependence of stability constants. The influence of the background salt is also discussedFile in questo prodotto:
