33 patients affected by psychogenic non epileptic seizures (PNES) were included in the study. They were differentiated in two groups: group 1 (19 patients with pure PNES); group 2 (14 patients with PNES and epileptic seizures). Significant differences between the two groups were: longer diagnostic delay (5,3 years) and poorer outcome (only 1 patient seizure-free) in group 2 when compared to group 1 (diagnostic delay 2.9 years, 50% of patients seizure-free at the last follow-up).
