The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of omega-3 fatty acids supplementation on horse performance, with special attention to galloper and jumper horses. The analysis of some hematological parameters showed decreasing packed cell volume values following the administration of omega-3 fatty acids. Therefore, completing horse diet with polyunsatured fatty acids sources can preserve horse health improving the athletic performance.

Abstract
