We observed that renal denervation rapidly restores CD34+cell number in patients affected by resistant hypertension. We showed the results of thefirst 6 patientswhocompleted thefirst stage of the study protocol, and these data are clearly preliminary; if these results will be confirmed on a larger scale, we believe that they could provide new insights about CD34+ cells and pathophysiological aspects of arterial hypertension. They also provide further evidence that the blood pressure lowering effects of RSD are largely attributable to its sympathoinhibitory effects.

Abstract
We observed that renal denervation rapidly restores CD34+cell number in patients affected by resistant hypertension. We showed the results of thefirst 6 patientswhocompleted thefirst stage of the study protocol, and these data are clearly preliminary; if these results will be confirmed on a larger scale, we believe that they could provide new insights about CD34+ cells and pathophysiological aspects of arterial hypertension. They also provide further evidence that the blood pressure lowering effects of RSD are largely attributable to its sympathoinhibitory effects.File in questo prodotto:
