We have examined four children with cranio-facial meningoencephaloceles. Two patients presented fronto-orbital and two medial fronto-ethmoidal meningoencephaloceles. We have found 3D TC imaging to be superior to other diagnostic modalities. Pre-operatively the 3D images display the cranio-facial malformation and the defect between the nasal bones and the cartilages and the increased interorbitary distance with orbitary discopia in one patient. In the post-operative follow-up the 3D skeletal surface shows the efficacy of plan surgical operation. The 3D TC images are extremely useful for the post-operative assessment of patients with cranio-facial meningoencephaloceles.

Abstract
We have examined four children with cranio-facial meningoencephaloceles. Two patients presented fronto-orbital and two medial fronto-ethmoidal meningoencephaloceles. We have found 3D TC imaging to be superior to other diagnostic modalities. Pre-operatively the 3D images display the cranio-facial malformation and the defect between the nasal bones and the cartilages and the increased interorbitary distance with orbitary discopia in one patient. In the post-operative follow-up the 3D skeletal surface shows the efficacy of plan surgical operation. The 3D TC images are extremely useful for the post-operative assessment of patients with cranio-facial meningoencephaloceles.Pubblicazioni consigliate
