Clinostomum complanatum (Rudolphi, 1814) is a digenetic trematode infecting fish-eating birds of Ardeidae family, reptiles and occasionally humans. The first intermediate hosts are freshwater snails and many fish species for example Cyprinidae, Cobitidae, as second intermediate hosts amphibians and mollusca. Metacercariae in fish are responsible of yellow grub disease. This trematode is important for the presence in Italian fresh water, in Italian fresh water fish and for his zoonotic potential. This study describes the comparison of Clinostomum complanatum in Cobitis bilineata coming from Italian fresh water, with a metacercariae presence in 12 samples of 30 (P=40%); The spread of this parasite in Italian fresh water requires particular note.

Abstract
Clinostomum complanatum (Rudolphi, 1814) is a digenetic trematode infecting fish-eating birds of Ardeidae family, reptiles and occasionally humans. The first intermediate hosts are freshwater snails and many fish species for example Cyprinidae, Cobitidae, as second intermediate hosts amphibians and mollusca. Metacercariae in fish are responsible of yellow grub disease. This trematode is important for the presence in Italian fresh water, in Italian fresh water fish and for his zoonotic potential. This study describes the comparison of Clinostomum complanatum in Cobitis bilineata coming from Italian fresh water, with a metacercariae presence in 12 samples of 30 (P=40%); The spread of this parasite in Italian fresh water requires particular note.Pubblicazioni consigliate
