Authors like Marceli Handelsman, Adam Lewak, Kalikst Morawski, Stefan Kieniewicz, Marian Żychowski, Emanuel Halicz, just to mention some of the most influential among them, have made the history of the Polish historiography of the Risorgimento, expanding the range of knowledge on the ideas and protagonists of that era and opening the way for a new generation of historians that continues today to look after this important field of historical studies.
