The aim of this study is to analyze the link between visual attention and memory in ADHD and normally developing students. More precisely, it follows three aims: to analyze visual patterns of children during a visual task, to investigate the relationship between visual attention and remembering, and to analyze possible differences in visual behavior between ADHD and normally developing children. 34 ADHD students and 30 normally developing students were tested for memory using a Word Memory Test and for attention using eye tracking tasks. The memory parameter was the number of correct remembered words (CRW) and the eye tracking parameter was the fixation length (FL). The results show high indexes of coherence between what is seen and what is recalled both in clinical and non clinical children.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to analyze the link between visual attention and memory in ADHD and normally developing students. More precisely, it follows three aims: to analyze visual patterns of children during a visual task, to investigate the relationship between visual attention and remembering, and to analyze possible differences in visual behavior between ADHD and normally developing children. 34 ADHD students and 30 normally developing students were tested for memory using a Word Memory Test and for attention using eye tracking tasks. The memory parameter was the number of correct remembered words (CRW) and the eye tracking parameter was the fixation length (FL). The results show high indexes of coherence between what is seen and what is recalled both in clinical and non clinical children.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
