Latin and Greek in Lipara in public inscriptions of Late-Republican and Augustan age The status of Lipara during the Augustan age is investigated by analysing some epigraphs attesting the long-lasting Greek identity in the island and testifying the complexity of the socio-political and cultural scenario of the local community between the 1st century bc and the 1st century ad. Nel corso del seguente lavoro si indaga sullo status di Lipara in età augustea attraverso l’analisi di alcuni documenti epigrafici che attestano il perdurare di una grecità formale e testimoniano la complessa trama culturale e sociopolitica dell’isola nel periodo compreso tra il I secolo a.C. e il I d.C.
