Abstract

The reflection on the English constitutional system, as well as on reform proposals during and after the Revolutionary period, outlines the overall framework of the legal and political thought of the greatest jurists and philosophers of the time, but also concerns minor jurists, however, extremely representative of an epoch. Alongside two of the greatest theorists of English law history, Edward Coke and Francis Bacon, in the later period of the civil law permanence in England, a defender of civil law appears and remains on the political scene for a long time, criticizing the common law system: Sir Robert Wiseman, judge and jurist.
