The article constitutes an analysis of Mariano Croce's 'The Politics of Juridification' (Routledge, 2018). Mariano Croce’s The Politics of Juridification1 is an innovative and clever work bearing upon a very delicate conundrum of questions which are becoming increasingly relevant for legal theory. Such a work, for a number of reasons, can constitute a useful tool in legal scholarship and jurisprudence; first and foremost, because it connects the traditional theme of the performative attitude of legal language with its political consequences and with the problems of governing legal pluralism.
