Presenza dell’epigramma greco e ibridismo programmatico nel carme 15 di Sidonio Apollinare

In the second part of the epithalamium of Polemius and Araneola the ekphrasis of the bride and her companions in the act of weaving gives Sidonius Apollinaris an opportunity to create an unexpected epigrammatic space within a wedding poem by means of the adaptation of APl 90-91 and AP 9, 48 and the subtle recovery of various themes well-attested in Greek tradition (especially in AP 6). The reuse of these hitherto neglected models, contaminated with some hints from Martial and other Latin poets, offers a lighter counterpart to the philosophical component of Sidon. carm. 15 and reveals the coordinates of a suggestive intergeneric experimentation
