Following the spread of Covid-19 all the typical contradictions of advanced capitalist countries emerged. For instance, within specific sectors such as agri-food supply chains, in which labour exploitation is often a real example of modern day slavery, workers suddenly find that they are considered as key workers. A pandemic, could be, in every European Country, a big opportunity to improve the rights of immigrant workers, through the introduction of social inclusion policies. In this context, this essay aims to analyse these dynamics to answer the following question: can covid- 19 represent a chance to obtain a more adequate social and economic recognition for immigrant workers? Or will it further increase social inequalities?

Abstract
Or will it further increase social inequalities?File | Dimensione | Formato | |
