The flling of the well 1 of the Carabinieri Barracks in Piazza Roma in Gela returned materials relating to the greek archaic/late archaic period. The classes, especially the western fne ceramics and the local production, are discussed in the broader pictur of Mediterranea productions and trade. They constitute an important documentation relating to the otherwise unknown inhabited area of the western area of the archaic and classical city.
