Abstract
Even though it is a highly comical play, owing to its uncertain ending and its bitter message, we cannot consider ʿAlī Ǧ anāḥ al-Tabrīzī wa-tābiʿuhu Quffa (Alfred Faraj, 1967) to be a comedy. Through an analytical approach that takes account of the play’s text, hypotext, and enunciative context, this contribution reveals the types of humor used by the author and determines their socio-political function.File in questo prodotto:
