This article focuses on the issue of oppositional behaviors that at times occur in the classroom. To make the discussion as objective as possible, the work will start with the description of the case of a third-grade student, often acting in an oppositional and even rebellious way, who puts his teachers under challenging situations. The investigation will focus on why, despite educators' efforts and the expensive treatment of experts, it was not possible to achieve useful results. Finally, indications will be offered for educational intervention purpose, and to find strategies that consider both the apparent level of behavior that is intended to be addressed and the hidden or psychological one.

Abstract
