The reconstruction of the Young of Motyas identifies the statue as Herakles/Melqart, with a lion on his head, which falls on his back and is seen bound across his upper chest. Her clothing consists of a long tunic, held in place by a band that crosses the chest, which does not compare to the known clothing of the period. The god is shown with his right hand raised and his left hand resting on his hip. From an iconographic point of view, it is necessary to incorporate a leontè and a bronze club. With this reconstruction, we can connect the cult statue of Herakles/Melqart with the nearby temple of Cappiddazzu.
