With this short essay, the Author intends to illustrate the link between the epistemological revolution, caused by the discovery of Thermodynamics, and a new way of seeing nature, which is no longer interpreted as a deterministic mechanism. The essay also illustrates the consequences, both juridical and ecological, of the aforementioned scientific revolution, highlighting Arne Naess’ and Luigi Ferrajoli’s theoretical supplies.
