This paper offers an approximate calculation of the number of prisoners who were actually present in the bīt asīrī on different dates during Rīm-Anum’s reign. It starts from a comparative analysis of texts from his kingdom, with a particular focus on those registering flour allocations for the same “house of prisoners of war”. Furthermore, it links the possible numerical growth of prisoners to other texts which record military activities entailing the capture of numerous prisoners.
