A new amphiphilic monosubstituted porphyrin functionalized by a beta-d-glucoside terminated oligophenylenethylene (OPE) able to self-arrange into nano-aggregates in polar solvents has been synthesized and fully characterized in its monomeric and aggregated forms.Emissive rod-like nano-aggregates of new amphiphilic beta-d-glucoside terminated oligophenylenethylene porphyrin have been obtained both in fluid and solid phases.

Abstract
