Le “Myricae” latine del Pascoli e un’ignota traduzione de “La siepe”

The paper proposes a new critical arrangement for the so-called ‘Latin Myricae’, i.e. verse translations of lyrics from the well-known Giovanni Pascoli’s poetic collection. These translations have been commonly attributed to the author, but philological and stylistic data lead instead to revoke this attribution and to consider the texts as exercises in the Latin verse composition of the poet’s sister. The unpublished self-translation of the sonnet La siepe (Myricae) is also published: it is a significant document of Pascoli’s constant exploration of the Latin poetic language.
