Among the most insidious complexities are those related to the conduct of students who, in the presence of classmates, pro- voke, offend or, worse, mistreat educators. In this regard, the interventions generally used in educational contexts, such as preaching, punishment, and sanctions or condemnations resulting from the eventual resort to legal actions, rarely produce valuable outcomes. These are, in fact, interventions that focus mainly on the apparent levels of problem conduct that they generally intend to modify or eliminate.
