Abstract
Analysing digital discourse involves dealing with a complex interplay between semiotic resources, society, and technology. The use of digital technologies has reshaped traditional modes of interaction into dynamic online social exchanges and has enabled people to establish, manage, and communicate a variety of relationships related to friendship, education, work, health, politics, etc. (Bou-Franch and Blitvich, 2018, Johansson et.al. 2021), thus calling for new, flexible, and up-to-date research methodologies apt to explore the theoretical and empirical diversity of digital discourse (Vásquez 2022). Whether it is social media platforms or messaging apps, digital discourse permeates every aspect of modern life, influencing how we express ourselves, build relationships, and navigate diverse social settings (Jones et.al 2015), including questions of control and surveillance (Jones 2020).Pubblicazioni consigliate
