With this brief essay, the Author aims at hypothetically reconstructing the cultural context of Felice Battaglia’s so far unpublished letter-review of Guido Fassò’s Cristianesimo e società (1956), dated September 5th, 1955. The aforementioned letter, which is today kept in Historical Archive of University of Bologna, defends the spiritualistic view of History, against Fassò’s mystical one that indeed separates the absolute Value from relative History fully. To stabilize the reconstruction, it is also gone through Luigi Bagolini’s criticism of Fassò’s same work.
