In recent years, the EU has introduced some initiatives to combat child poverty and promote their education, but at present, given the limited competences in this area, interventions can be limited to promoting only cooperation between Member States. This work intends to analyse the actions carried out so far and reflect on the new challenges and possible future progress within the Union's competences.
