The church of Ss. Peter and Paul in Agrò (ME) represents one of the later Greek monastic architectures in Valdemone; it thus belongs to a whole series of buildings that are characterized by settlement choices closely linked to the medieval viability and that represent an innovation in the geography of human sites from the 11th century and in the early Norman age. Despite the sometimes invasive mid-twentieth-century restorations, the church of Agrò retains, in the skillful use of different building materials and in the diversification of the wall faces, traces of the construction site completed in 1172. The elevation archaeological study project that is underway on the Agrò monastic complex aims to define the presence or absence of construction phases earlier than the one commonly ascertained, as well as to study the organization of the workers in the third quarter of the 12th century
