The integration of digital and multimedia supports is a common practice in learning foreign languages. These tools, which follow the evolution of language more quickly than traditional resources, prove very useful for the development of language skills and for the acquisition of vocabulary and professional terminology. This remains, however, at the center of debates and experiments about the approaches to follow for its processing. The IATE platform, the European Union interinstitutional terminology database, used in a Professional French Language course within a Specialized University Master in Advanced European Studies, proved to be the most suitable means for the objectives of the training. After a broad overview about the current approaches and systems for teaching legal terminology, in this paper we will show the practice and approach followed, as well as the advantages and limitations of the platform.

Abstract
The integration of digital and multimedia supports is a common practice in learning foreign languages. These tools, which follow the evolution of language more quickly than traditional resources, prove very useful for the development of language skills and for the acquisition of vocabulary and professional terminology. This remains, however, at the center of debates and experiments about the approaches to follow for its processing. The IATE platform, the European Union interinstitutional terminology database, used in a Professional French Language course within a Specialized University Master in Advanced European Studies, proved to be the most suitable means for the objectives of the training. After a broad overview about the current approaches and systems for teaching legal terminology, in this paper we will show the practice and approach followed, as well as the advantages and limitations of the platform.Pubblicazioni consigliate
