The Mount Castellaccio, in the territory of Mongiuffi Melia, in Messina, is naturally defendend by steep cliffs and its elevated position and is particularly suitable for the control of the watercourse of the torrent called Chiòdaro and of the rear hills which are connected to the Monte Kalfa. The survey activities, conducted between 2019 and 2021, show the presence of some structures, pottery and manufacts of the lithic industry linked with an occupation of the hill since Prehistorical age until Medieval age. The paper aims to presents to the scientific community the data from preliminary analysis conducted on this site.

Abstract
