The essay aims at historically reconstructing the theoretical and political debate happened between Benedetto Croce and Guido Calogero in the Forties. That polemic especially concerned the not only exclusive practical couple of freedom as metaphysical assumption and freedom as particular contents of action. This was refused by pure-liberal Croce because of Calogero’s liberal-socialist thought which fundamentally remembered him the Gentilian Actualism. The question about the existence of a Crocean theory of justice is also analysed.

Abstract
The essay aims at historically reconstructing the theoretical and political debate happened between Benedetto Croce and Guido Calogero in the Forties. That polemic especially concerned the not only exclusive practical couple of freedom as metaphysical assumption and freedom as particular contents of action. This was refused by pure-liberal Croce because of Calogero’s liberal-socialist thought which fundamentally remembered him the Gentilian Actualism. The question about the existence of a Crocean theory of justice is also analysed.File in questo prodotto:
