The church of Ss. Peter and Paul in Agrò (ME) represents one of the later Greek monastic architectures in Valdemone. Despite the sometimes invasive mid-twentieth-century restorations, the church of Agrò retains, in the skillful use of di!erent building materials and in the diversi"cation of the wall faces, traces of the construction site completed in 1172. The elevation archaeological study project that is underway on the Agrò monastic complex aims to de"ne the presence or absence of construction phases earlier than the one commonly ascertained, as well as to study the organization of the workers in the third quarter of the 12th century.
