This paper presents a patch antenna implemented on a multilayer rigid-flex substrate for communication in wearable applications. The antenna can be connected to the rest of the circuit through a flexible transmission line, which is able to conform to the curvatures of the human body or wearable devices such as smartwatches, rings, heart-rate bands, and wristbands. The 57-64 GHz band is an unlicensed spectrum, enabling high-speed short-range on-body communication for wearable devices. The proposed antenna exhibits a wideband of 12 GHz and a flat gain of 6 dBi, thereby reducing the bit error rate and improving signal integrity.

Abstract
This paper presents a patch antenna implemented on a multilayer rigid-flex substrate for communication in wearable applications. The antenna can be connected to the rest of the circuit through a flexible transmission line, which is able to conform to the curvatures of the human body or wearable devices such as smartwatches, rings, heart-rate bands, and wristbands. The 57-64 GHz band is an unlicensed spectrum, enabling high-speed short-range on-body communication for wearable devices. The proposed antenna exhibits a wideband of 12 GHz and a flat gain of 6 dBi, thereby reducing the bit error rate and improving signal integrity.File in questo prodotto:
