This PhD thesis research project is aimed to evaluate the migration of processing additives, used in PET bottle manufacture, such as lubricant, slip agents and stabilizers and their degradation products in packaged mineral water. Particular attention will be given to their evolution during the shelf-life, their relationship with the development of offodor and taste and the possible health risk to consumers.
