Migraine and epilepsy are common disorders of childhood frequently reported as occurring in comorbidity. Several patients with idiopathic epilepsy of infancy present with migraine and refer epilepsy and/or migraine diagnosed in infancy in their pedigrees. We retrospectively recruited a cohort of children with idiopathic epilepsy of infancy (rolandic or occipital epilepsy) and migraine, and evaluated the rate of comorbidity for each group. The prevalence of epilepsy and/or epileptic discharges and/or migraine in first-degree relatives was calculated.

Abstract
Migraine and epilepsy are common disorders of childhood frequently reported as occurring in comorbidity. Several patients with idiopathic epilepsy of infancy present with migraine and refer epilepsy and/or migraine diagnosed in infancy in their pedigrees. We retrospectively recruited a cohort of children with idiopathic epilepsy of infancy (rolandic or occipital epilepsy) and migraine, and evaluated the rate of comorbidity for each group. The prevalence of epilepsy and/or epileptic discharges and/or migraine in first-degree relatives was calculated.File in questo prodotto:
